MPD has not given any information as of 8 p.m. as to whether the two shootings were connected.
WASHINGTON — A man is in the hospital with “life-threatening injuries” on Tuesday night, after he was shot by a Metropolitan Police Department officer in what became the second time in one day that an MPD officer shot at a suspect.
“MPD is on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in the 3500 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest,” an MPD spokesperson said at 7 p.m.
MPD did not give any additional information, as of 8 p.m., as to what happened leading up to the second shooting.
