Dec. 18 weather: Cloudy skies bring more snow to southern Ontario [Video]

Parts of the province are in for snow as cloudy skies and flurries will descend on Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto and much of southern Ontario on Wednesday.

Environment Canada says to expect intermittent snowfall throughout the day starting around noon in the Greater Toronto Area with around 2 cm of snowfall expected in Mississauga.

But there could be up to 4 cm of snow in areas like Caledon, Newmarket, northern parts of York Region and Durham Region, Kitchener and elsewhere.

While there’s snow in the forecast on Wednesday, temperatures are expected to stay relatively warm through the day with a high of around 2 C in Toronto, dropping to around -4 C in Hamilton with the wind chill.

Overnight, the mercury will likely drop further with an evening high of – 4 C in Mississauga that will feel more like – 9 C.
