For I Love To Read Month with Fairway Ford, Corny Rempel from MIX 96 read two books to over 4000 kids in 25 Schools. One of the books he read was the fun sequel to INTERRUPTING CHICKEN called INTERRUPTING CHICKEN AND THE ELEPHANT OF SURPRISE written and illustrated by David Ezra Stein. Our special guest elephant was Kenton Dyck from the Drive Home Show on MIX 96. Now your kids can enjoy this story as often as they like with this video. Enjoy!

The other book he read was a fun food adventure called LADY PANCAKE AND SIR FRENCH TOAST written by Josh Funk, illustrated by Brendan Kearney. Enjoy!

Message from author Josh Funk:

“Okay, wow! Thanks so much for sharing, Corny! And what a well-done rendition! Fabulous voices!

Brendan and I are hard at work on book #7 in the series right (WHODONUT, featuring Agatha Crispy) – out on September 9th, 2025.

Thank you …
