Didsbury RCMP are investigating a crash between a train and a piece of machinery on Monday.

RCMP say the collision, which happened along 19 Avenue, caused several area road closures.

It appears the vehicle had mechanical trouble while crossing the tracks and became immobile.

“Unfortunately, this occurred as a train was approaching, and the train collided with the zoom boom on the tracks,” RCMP said in a news release.

No injuries were reported.

The town of Didsbury is located roughly 60 kilometres north of Calgary.
