The Eglinton Crosstown LRT, which has been under construction for 13 years, is over budget and has repeatedly missed opening dates.

Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford said Friday he is “really, really confident” the much-delayed Eglinton Crosstown LRT will open this year.

“Well, what I’m hearing from Metrolinx (is) everything’s up and going. I guess they are doing training right now on it,” Ford said at an election campaign stop in Scarborough.
