A driver was spotted watching a movie while travelling on Highway 401 in Ontario, according to the OPP.

An OPP photo shows an iPad propped up on the dashboard just behind the steering wheel of a vehicle.

Officers stopped the vehicle on Highway 401 in the Woodstock, Ontario area after a good samaritan contacted police, OPP said on X Monday. The bystander told police the driver was watching a movie on the iPad.

Police said the driver could have caused a crash.

“Really? WOW! Putting other innocent motorists at risk watching a movie while travelling on #Hwy401 @OxfordCounty,” the OPP said. “STAY FOCUSED on the road, NOT a screen!”

A 38-year-old driver from Hamilton faces charges, OPP said.
