WOOD HEIGHTS, Mo. (KCTV) – An Excelsior Springs man was taken to a nearby hospital after he ran into a vehicle that had stopped for traffic in Wood Heights.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, emergency crews were called to the area of Highway 10 in front of the Wood Heights Dollar General with reports of a 2-vehicle crash.
When first responders arrived, they said they found a 36-year-old Excelsior Springs woman had stopped her 2017 GMC Yukon for traffic along the highway. The SUV was hit from behind by a 62-year-old Excelsior Springs man in a 2013 Ford F-150.
As a result, emergency crews said the pickup’s driver was taken to Liberty Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Everyone involved in the crash had been wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Investigators noted that the Ford sustained extensive damage while the GMC was only slightly damaged. No further …
