A foul-mouthed hotel guest in Kingston is facing a flock of weapon and drug charges after an investigation into threats directed at staff led police to search his room where they discovered fentanyl and other drugs stuffed inside a whole rotisserie chicken.
Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a hotel in the city Wednesday evening to investigate a report of a man “uttering threats” toward staff.
The man had been involved in a verbal argument with hotel staff, resulting in staff asking him to leave. Police were told the man responded by “threatening the well-being of the staff” before returning to his hotel room.
The 44-year-old man was arrested in his room, with a search leading officers to find two pellet handguns in the man’s possession.
His belongings were then packed up and sent to Kingston Police headquarters, where the chicken was discovered, with 46.1 grams of fentanyl, 10.8 grams …
