Early morning fire at Victoria gas station deemed non-suspicious [Video]

While the cause of an early morning fire at a gas station in Victoria remains unknown, it has been deemed non-suspicious.

At around 3:30 a.m., on March 27th, emergency crews were called to the scene of a fire at the Petro-Canada station at the corner of Douglas and Government streets.

While the fire was quickly contained by the Victoria Fire Department, the exterior of a gas pump suffered the significant damage.

According to a Facebook post by Victoria Firefighters IAFF Local 730, multiple 911 calls were received for this incident, and that it was, in fact, a gas pump that was fully involved and extending into the ceiling of the gas station.

Engine 3, spearheading the operation, was quick to assess the situation upon turning onto Douglas Street from Bay Street, according the post.
