Elgin OPP lay charge after crash on Highbury [Video]

One person has been charged by Elgin County OPP after a collision occurred Wednesday morning.

Emergency responders attended the scene on Highbury Avenue, between Ron McNeil Line and Mapleton Line, around 6:30 a.m.

According to police, a vehicle travelling southbound on Highbury Avenue spun out and was subsequently hit head-on by a northbound vehicle.

One driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital as a precaution.

As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old from London was charged with “unsafe move – lane or shoulder.”

The Elgin County OPP remind motorists that, “Driving requires the driver’s full undivided attention, consideration of all vehicles on the roadway and to always be aware of changing weather, traffic, and road conditions.”
