The Saskatchewan RCMP says an inmate who escaped from federal prison in Prince Albert faces new charges.
Glen Fredrick Richard Halkett, 29, was discovered missing during the 9:30 p.m. routine count on Tuesday evening, according to the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC).

The next day at around 11 a.m., officers spotted Halkett driving a vehicle in the community of Little Red River, Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release.
When officers attempted to pull him over, Halkett sped away, striking the police vehicle in the process. No officers were injured but the police vehicle was damaged, RCMP said.
Police say the suspect vehicle was later located, but Halkett was no longer with it.
As a result of continued investigation, Halkett is charged with one count flight from peace officer, one count dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one count drive while prohibited.
