He was at the forefront of one of the biggest music scandals in history, but Milli Vanilli’s Fab Morvan still cherishes music.

“Music, to me, is synonymous with positivity,” Morvan told CTV News.

Milli Vanilli became infamous in 1990 when their Grammy for Best New Artist was stripped from them after it became clear they did not sing on their album.

Morvan will demonstrate his singing skills Jan. 17 at the 90s Dance Mix Tour at the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino, the opening show in a Western Canadian tour.

Morvan says producing and creating music became a saving grace for him after the scandal.

“That really was the one thing that helped me survive through my ups and downs, and creating strength within, and that allowed me to believe in myself and realize that there could be life after Milli,” says Morvan.
