DELAWARE COUNTY, Okla. — The family of an Indigenous teen found dead at the bottom of a well in April participated in Northeastern State University’s Solidarity March in his honor on October 14.
It has been six months since Trey Glass was found and the family is walking to be heard and seen by the community.
On April 5, 19-year-old Trey Glass was found dead in a well in Delaware County after he disappeared in December 2023.
The medical examiner said his cause of death is unknown.
On October 14, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the family decided to walk in honor of Trey at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
“We just get in the car and just take off hoping we’ll see him somewhere walking. It’s just not like home over there anymore. I can’t stay home. It’s just [like] we’re both lost,” said Trey’s mother Janet Glass.
