MINNEAPOLIS — It’s been nearly a year since a woman was found dead and decomposing in her Minneapolis apartment.
Allison Lussier’s death is still raising questions and her family and friends brought their concerns Monday night to the Community Commission on Police Oversight meeting that started about two years ago.
“At the time I was the caretaker who was quite possibly one of the last people Allison saw,” said Theresa Durst, who lived in the same building as Lussier.
Minneapolis Police found the 47-year-old on Feb. 22, 2024, just 12 days after her family said she called police to report being assaulted by her boyfriend. They detailed months of domestic violence incidents and allege the department’s handling of them failed her.
