One person suffered life-threatening injuries after a tractor and train collided in Ontario.

Emergency crews were called to the crash in 11th Line and 12th Line area in New Tecumseth, north of Vaughan, at 4:46 p.m. on Tuesday, OPP said.

The injured person was transported to a trauma centre by air ambulance, police said.

Police said no injuries were reported among those on the train.

The train was blocking both the 11th Line and 12th Line for several hours. The roads fully reopened at 4:10 a.m. on Wednesday.
