The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at the Airport Boulevard off-ramp on northbound I-5.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man died in a car crash near the Sacramento International Airport.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 12:47 a.m. at the Airport Boulevard off-ramp on northbound I-5. A Ford F-350 hit a GMC Yukon and swerved through a chain-link fence.
The driver of the Yukon was an 87-year-old Sacramento man who was pronounced dead at the scene by Sacramento Fire officials.
CHP said the driver of the F-350 was a 32-year-old man from Yuba City.
The cause of the crash is under investigation but the CHP said that driving under the influence is not suspected.
