Fatal collision on Hicks Road leaves one dead, others injured [Video]

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A person is dead following a Tuesday crash involving multiple cars in Cobb County, according to reports from police. 

Cobb County Police Department said it happened at the intersection of Hicks Road and Fisher Drive. The accident involved three different cars, and multiple people had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. 

Police said their initial investigation shows that a white GMS Sierra traveling southbound on Hicks Road crossed the center lanes and hit the left side of a GMC Yukon XL heading northbound. Officers added that two other cars were driving northbound behind the Yukon XL: a silver Ford Escape and a grey Hyundai Sonata.
