Fatal house fire claims 1 life in Regina [Video]

Regina Fire says one person is dead after a house fire in the city’s east end Tuesday morning.

According to a post by Regina Fire on X, crews were called to a home on the 1600 block of Benson Bay shortly after 8 a.m.

Crews pulled one person from the home who was pronounced dead on the scene, the post said.

The person’s name, age or gender was not released.

Regina Fire did not say if there were any other individuals in the home at the time of the fire.

The blaze remains under investigation.
