Federal government selects Quebec Justice Marie-Josée Hogue to lead foreign interference inquiry [Video]

At a news conference on Parliament Hill, federal Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc outlines the details of the launch of a public inquiry into foreign interference in Canada’s electoral system. The inquiry, established with cross-party support, will be led by Quebec Court of Appeal judge Marie-Josée Hogue and will examine meddling by China, Russia and other foreign states and non-state actors in the 2019 and 2021 federal elections.
