FedEx Cares volunteers deliver 340 pairs of sneakers to students at John J. Montgomery Elementary in Chula Vista.
CHULA VISTA, Calif. — FedEx Cares volunteers, dedicated to supporting communities where they live and work, teamed up with the non-profit Operation Warm to provide nearly 340 new pairs of sneakers to students at John J. Montgomery Elementary.
The collaboration, which took place this spring, is part of a larger initiative in which FedEx Cares and Operation Warm are distributing over 13,000 pairs of new shoes to children at 30 schools across the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and South America. The sneakers, provided by Operation Warm, aim to promote an active and healthy lifestyle while boosting the self-esteem of children in need.
