BAR HARBOR, Maine (WABI) – A ferry service that runs from Canada to Maine has seen a decrease in passenger reservations for the 2025 season.

Bay Ferries Limited says reservations for the CAT ferry that goes from Nova Scotia to Bar Harbor has seen an almost 4,000 passenger decrease in reservations compared to the same time in the 2024 season.

According to Bay Ferries Limited, the drop in reservations is mostly due to Canadians not booking travel to the United States.

They say American travel to Canada on the ferry is comparable to last year.
