A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital after his neighbour rescued him from a house fire in Lower Sackville, N.S., Saturday morning, said an RCMP news release.
Fire services rescued three children from the fire, aged five, six and nine. They were transported to hospital by EHS.
Two other occupants, a 37-year-old woman and a two-year-old child exited the house safely and without injury.
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, EHS and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded to the report of the house fire in Lower Sackville at approximately 3:10 a.m., Saturday, said the release.
The Halifax Professional Fire Fighters Union issued a statement on X Saturday evening that said they were “heartbroken” after the fire and grateful for the support they had received. There was no further update in the statement.
