Over 100 Montreal firefighters were dispatched to a three-alarm fire in the Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie borough on Sunday morning.
The fire occurred at a two-story building comprising of three apartments at the intersection of Marconi Street and Mozart Street.
“By chance, the building was empty. So, no residents had to be evacuated,” said Alain Laflamme, the section chief at the Montreal fire department.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
“The fire was extinguished 9:30 a.m. We still have teams on site to clear the debris.”
The investigation is ongoing.
