A man from West Dalhousie, N.S., is facing a number of charges after police seized firearms and drugs from a home in Bridgetown, N.S.
Police searched a residence on Morse Road Thursday and arrested a man outside the home.
Police seized multiple items during the search, including:
- four shot guns
- four rifles
- five conducted energy weapons
- a crossbow
- a knife
- a switchblade
- brass knuckles
- quantities of suspected cocaine
- methamphetamine
- psilocybin
- drug paraphernalia
- cash
Police also seized the man’s vehicle.
Ryan Laviolette, 36, appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded into custody pending a court appearance Monday.
Laviolette is facing charges of:
- 16 counts of careless use of a firearm
- 16 counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- 16 counts of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
- eight counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- eight counts of possession of a prohibited weapon
- possession of property …
