FRIDAY: Moisture from Canada is moving throught northeast ND and northwest MN in the form of ice and snow, so roads at the international border may be tricky for Friday travel. By the afternoon hours, rain showers will move through the central and southern areas of our region, as temperatures will be above freezing in those areas. Meanwhile, the international border counties will continue seeing mix, freezing rain and snow. It’s not until the mid-evening hours that the rain moves out of the central and southern areas, and it’s not until midnight that any leftover snowflakes move out of the northern areas.

By that time, rain totals will likely be 0.25″ to 0.5″ in the central portions of our region. Meanwhile, the further north one goes, the more ice and snow one would see. Areas at the international border, such as the northern Devils Lake Basin, northern RRV and northwest MN, …
