The month of April is observed as Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Captain Robert Mayer with the South Dakota Highway Patrol said it’s a great time to draw awareness because more people hit the roads with nicer weather.

Multiple agencies responded to two separate, but related officer-involved shootings on Tuesday in Sioux Falls and Union County.
