FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY – WEDNESDAY: An Alberta Clipper brings wind, cold and light snow to the valley today. Snow squalls have developed with bands of heavier snow and wind gusts that exceed 40-50 mph, leading to blowing snow and significant reductions in visibility, especially out in open areas. Additional snowfall will be light, less than an inch.The snow that is already on the ground from the past few days may be blown around, though warm temperatures overnight may mitigate that somewhat.
Be prepared for brief whiteout conditions. Those same wind gusts will mean wind chills in the teens and 20s below zero across much of our region, so make sure to take some precautions against the cold as well.
