It’s a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY through tomorrow morning! The first winter storm of the season hits our area today. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for all of northeast Wisconsin. Most of us will see 4-8” of snow through Friday morning. However, onshore winds will create bands of heavier lake-effect snow across far eastern Wisconsin. Areas from Green Bay and east towards Lake Michigan will see snow totals rise to 6-10”. This snow is being created by a fast-moving “Alberta Clipper”, which is tracking towards the lower Great Lakes.
The morning commute to work or school should be dry with no major weather concerns. Then, the snow will begin mid-morning, initially drier in consistency with temperatures climbing out of the teens and into the lower 20s.
