We’re back for another weekend on Made in Manitoba, and tonight we’re featuring a first time Juno nominee, but a returning guest, as we celebrate Manitoba Juno nominees ahead of the awards.
Boy Golden and his album “For Eden” is up for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year at the March 30th event in Vancouver. You may know him by his off-stage name, Liam Duncan, who grew up in Brandon and played more than 600 shows with his previous musical venture The Middle Coast.
But, back to his latest project Boy Golden, and that Juno nomination, for his album “For Eden”… which has a title deep with meaning, including a shout out to the Western Manitoba town of the same name.
The creative process Liam took to record the album is quite unique, and begins with solitude and a cassette recorder at his grandparents cabin at Riding Mountain National Park.
