Ontario’s police watchdog agency is stepping up efforts to find witnesses to a crash last Wednesday morning on the Mississauga-Oakville border involving a Hummer that was fleeing from police and a diesel fuel truck.
The driver of the suspect vehicle suffered serious injuries in the March 12 collision, which occurred around 8:30 a.m. at Winston Churchill Boulevard and Lakeshore Road East, on the border of Mississauga and Oakville. The area remained closed for most of the day while police investigated and crews cleaned up a fuel spill.
