A new report finds airfares have decreased from Canada to many popular destinations compared to this time last year.
As the busy summer travel season approaches, many people are thinking about a budget-friendly holiday this year.
According to a recent Flight Centre survey conducted by YouGov, 86 per cent of Canadian travellers are taking a smarter, more intentional approach to travel this year, adjusting their vacation in 2025 to prioritize affordability, according to a press release from the travel company.
“Value trumps everything,” says Andrew Stafford, travel expert at Flight Centre Canada. “While 43% of Canadians plan to stick to last year’s travel budget— an average of $7,262— nearly one in five plan on spending over $10,000. However, they’ll opt for destinations that offer the most bang for their buck with 94% of Canadian travellers prioritizing value (even over weather) and 81% considering the exchange rate.”
