Fog creating hazardous morning commute in Ontario [Video]

Near-zero visibility caused by dense fog is creating hazardous driving conditions this morning, prompting a warning for drivers to exercise caution.

The fog, which is expected to lift later, is significantly reducing visibility and could lead to sudden and severe road closures.

Environment Canada has issued a warning, urging drivers to stay vigilant as areas of dense fog affect multiple parts of the Greater Toronto Area, including Burlington, Oakville, Caledon, Hamilton, Toronto, Halton Hills, Milton, Pickering, Oshawa, Mississauga and Brampton.

If visibility becomes limited while driving:

  • Slow down to maintain control of your vehicle.
  • Watch carefully for tail lights ahead.
  • Be prepared to stop suddenly if necessary.

Motorists are encouraged to delay non-essential travel and stay tuned to local traffic updates. The fog is expected to dissipate later this morning, but caution is advised until conditions improve.
