A generator and other power tools worth as much as $7,000 that were stolen from a Guelph company this past weekend could be illegally for sale in Mississauga and Brampton, police say.

Guelph Police said a collection of tools that includes a Honda generator, circular saw and impact driver with a total estimated value of $6,000 to $7,000 was stolen from inside a parked van that was located in the lot of a Laird Road company.

An employee of the business reported to police the items were taken after someone entered the van while it was parked at some point over the weekend.

“The complainant believes he (subsequently) saw some of the tools listed for sale in Peel Region,” police said in a news release on Wednesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Guelph Police at 519-824-1212, ext. 7599, email [email protected] or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
