Fort St. John announces plans for New Year’s Eve fireworks [Video]

FORT ST. JOHN –As the Peace Region prepares to welcome 2025, the City of Fort St. John has revealed its plans to celebrate the New Year.

The annual firework display will begin at 8:00 p.m. on December 31st, northeast of the Fort St. John Hospital. 

Although the immediate area will be closed to the public, residents can view the fireworks from several designated spots.

Anne Roberts Young Elementary School and the Sureus parking lot will be open for viewing from the comfort of your car.

A viewing area will also be set up on 112 Avenue. However, no vehicles will be allowed in the viewing area.

“Bring your lawn chair, blanket and walk to the best seat in the house across the street from the launch area,” reads the city’s event page.
