GREENSBORO, N.C. — Beloved Triad pastor Rev. Dr. Nelson Johnson has died.
Originally from Halifax County, the North Carolina A&T alum is remembered for his efforts in the civil rights movement. Johnson was also a champion of social and economic justice during his time in Greensboro.
He co-founded the Beloved Community Center and later founded the Faith Community Church.
