ODESSA, Texas — Four IDEA Yukon employees have been let go following a recent incident between a staff member and student, according to IDEA Public Schools.

Below is the statement from IDEA Public Schools regarding the incident:

“IDEA leadership was made aware of a recent incident at IDEA Yukon Academy involving an employee and a student. Following a thorough internal investigation, it was determined that, while local and state authorities were notified, the appropriate steps required by policy and state law were not followed while addressing the situation. As a result, staffing changes were made on campus. As this is a personnel matter, we are unable to disclose any further information due to confidentiality.
