Following weeks of tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China, along with additional global tariffs on steel, aluminum and foreign-made automobiles, Trump announced that his administration will impose a 10 percent tariff starting on Saturday.
The moves were met with consecutive days’ worth of a stock market nosedive coupled with new fears of a recession. China hit back at the U.S. on Friday, announcing it would match the U.S. 34 percent tariff on Chinese imports with an identical tariff on all American goods, effective April 10.
