British Columbia News

Martin A. Haase is a Canadian who has called Changsha City in central China’s Hunan Province home for 17 years. Born in Victoria, capital of British Columbia, Canada, he fell in love with Chinese martial arts during high school. Guided by his teacher at the time, he crossed the ocean to study acupuncture in Changsha. The profound depth of traditional Chinese medicine and the philosophy embedded in martial arts captivated him, inspiring him to stay in China to immerse himself further in its culture. Beyond his personal journey, Martin actively fosters student exchange programs between his hometown and Changsha’s university, becoming a vital bridge for traditional Chinese medicine and cultural exchange between Canada and China. He wants to invite all of his friends to visit China, and experience the wonderful Chinese culture just like him.
