A weather advisory has been extended for parts of southern Ontario.
Environment Canada said “patchy frost” is expected.
An updated on Thursday afternoon said areas under the advisory include Mississauga, Brampton, Halton Hills, RIchmond Hill, Oshawa and the Durham Region, Goderich, London, Kitchener, Guelph, and Newmarket.
“Temperatures are expected to drop to near the freezing mark overnight into early Friday morning,” the advisory said.
“Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.”
Following the dip in temperatures, beautiful weather is in the forecast for Mother’s Day weekend.
The latest forecast is for slightly above-normal temperatures and sunny skies on both days in Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Burlington and Oakville, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
