Frostbite risks loom as -27 C wind chills and snow take over southern Ontario [Video]

It looks like the week ahead promises the continuation of harsh winter conditions in southern Ontario, with snow, high winds and sub-zero temperatures dominating the forecast.

As of today (Jan. 19), residents will wake up to mainly cloudy conditions throughout the day. Morning temperatures will be freezing, with wind chills ranging from minus 16 to minus 18.

Flurries have a 40 per cent chance of arriving late in the morning and into the afternoon, with winds remaining light at 15 km/h. Daytime highs will hover around -9 C but will feel twice as cold, with wind chills making it feel like -18 C.

Overnight, it will be mainly cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of flurries. Temperatures will slip to lows of minus 15, with wind chills hitting between -21 C and -25 C.
