Crews from multiple departments contained a garage fire Tuesday in Ontario that hospitalized one person. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
BOISE, Idaho — One person was hospitalized after a garage fire in Ontario on Tuesday that required multiple fire departments to contain.
Ontario Fire and Rescue said its crews responded to a structure fire at 1690 Central Drive around 1:31 p.m. Tuesday, June 3. Crews arrived to find the detached garage fully engulfed, with fire spreading to equipment in the driveway and extending into a nearby grass field.
Officials said local law enforcement officers assisted with evacuating the residence on the property.
“There was one occupant injured from a ground level fall during evacuation; the patient was transported by Treasure Valley Paramedics,” Ontario Fire and Rescue said in a news release.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
