GB News was paused for an urgent breaking update on Keir Starmer, as political editor Christopher Hope reported on the atmosphere outside the London summit on European security.
Broadcasting live from the venue, Christopher said: “Welcome back to this central London location where this peace summit is taking place. Sir Keir Starmer is coming out every two or three minutes to welcome the number of leaders arriving here. It’s extraordinary and not normal – 16 leaders from Canada, Turkey and the rest are from the European Union. We’re just seeing President Ursula von der Leyen from the European Commission, she’s arrived. Norway, Poland, Turkey, Sweden, Czechia, they’ve all arrived.
“I’ve got my book – I’m ticking them off as they arrive. It is quite complicated trying to keep track of it. The reason they’re all here, of course, is that catastrophic falling out… Here comes another car arriving now, let’s see if we can work out who it is.”
