The Swarm are back in the NLL Playoffs after they were knocked out in the quarterfinals by Buffalo last year.
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Swarm will travel to Saskatoon, Canada next weekend to see if they can reach the National Lacrosse League semifinals for the first time since 2018.
The 7-seeded Swarm are set to face the No. 2 seed Saskatchewan Rush next Saturday at 9:30 p.m. ET in the quarterfinal round schedule that was released by the NLL on Sunday.
It’s a rematch of when the two teams met in the Finals in 2017, when the Swarm won their only league title.
This year the Swarm went 9-9 to secure a place in the playoffs. Lyle Thompson, long Georgia’s leading star, led the team with 42 goals (tied for eighth in the NLL) and 52 assists (tied 18th) for 94 points (15th). Goalie Brett Dobson had 654 …
