GO train riders in Mississauga, parts of Toronto and Hamilton will have fewer travel options once again this weekend and the following weekend as crews complete track maintenance work along the busy line.

Service through those areas will be impacted this Saturday and Sunday in addition to the weekend of Dec. 21-22, officials at Metrolinx said in an email update on Thursday morning.

Metrolinx, the provincial agency in charge of GO Transit, said starting on Saturday and continuing on the other impacted dates through the end of day on Dec. 22, Lakeshore West trains between Union Station in Toronto and West Harbour GO station in Hamilton will run hourly instead of every 15 or 30 minutes.

The reduction in number of trains is necessary “to allow for critical track work along the corridor,” Metrolinx said. 

The temporary service reduction impacts people using Clarkson and Port Credit GO stations in Mississauga in addition to other stations along the Lakeshore West …
