TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A 24-year-old Venezuelan man accused of posing as a teen at Perrysburg High School faced a judge in federal court on Tuesday.
Investigators say Anthony Labrador Sierra used a fake birth certificate to obtain Temporary Protective Status as an immigrant and lied on federal documents in order to buy a gun.
Labrador Sierra walked in to face a judge on May 27 and seemed to be impressed with the courtroom. He was dressed in an orange Lucas county jail jumpsuit.
The federal charges he’s facing were added after Perrysburg police arrested him last week for allegedly lying about his age to enroll in high school. His legal guardians allegedly found a gun and fake IDs in his room after the mother of Labrador Sierra’s child reached out to the Perrysburg family. That evidence was turned over to police.
