Grassy Narrows First Nation takes Ontario to court over Mining Act

Grassy Narrows First Nation is taking Ontario to the Superior Court of Justice over the province’s Mining Act, saying it violates their constitutional rights. They say prospectors are not required to consult First Nations when they’re staking a claim on their territory, and they want the government to speak to them when it comes to industrial projects on their traditional lands.
