Guelph Police looking for man as part of fraud investigation [Video]

Police in Guelph have released two images in an attempt to identify a man connected to a fraud investigation.

Police said a man in his 80s contacted them on Nov. 21 and said he had received a call from a person who said they worked for his bank. The caller said the man’s debit card had been compromised and a courier would be along shortly to collect the man’s card and get his PIN.

A suspect came to the man’s home later that day and took the debit card. The card when then used to make approximately $4,000 in purchases.

Police said they are trying to identify a man who has relevant information to the investigation.
