Two Canadian men smuggling guns were arrested recently in northern Montana near a remote border crossing.
One of the men illegally crossed into Canada from Montana in the area between Val Marie, Saskatchewan and Morgan, Montana.
The man then re-entered the United States illegally in the same location soon after and drove away in a truck, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said in a Monday press statement. The vehicle was stopped by U.S. Border Patrol officers and the two 19-year-old men were arrested.
RCMP officers searched the area in Saskatchewan where the crossing occurred and found a box containing a pistol that is prohibited in Canada.
