The Hamilton Downtown Mosque is taped off by police Friday afternoon after three people were injured in a stabbing attack. Saturday morning police said a 40-year-old man has been arrested on the Mountain.

A 40-year-old man was arrested on the Mountain by police Friday night, hours after three people were injured in a stabbing at the Hamilton Downtown Mosque.

Police said in a news release Saturday morning, “early details” of their investigation suggest the incident “was not hate-motivated” and “the suspects and victims” knew each other.
