Hamilton police say they have shut down an open-air drug market, operating at King Street East and East Avenue, that preyed on vulnerable people in the area.
The “complex operation” ran much like a business, using lookouts, drug runners and traffickers who often carried small amounts of crack cocaine and other drugs, perhaps to avoid more serious charges if caught or because they weren’t trusted with more drugs, said Insp. Jim Callender.
